The Role

Invatron, in its continuing commitment to the fresh grocery retailer, will be investing in extending existing products as well as developing new products from the inception to release that will create additional customer value and deliver measurable business benefits. As part of these initiatives, Invatron is seeking Cloud Software Product Managers that will lead and manage one or several products offered as part of the Invatron Fresh Item Management cloud platform as members of the product management team.


The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, development, finance, quality assurance/testing, customer service, and cloud operations in order to build a product that fulfills a product vision and turn it into business success. The role determines what products, enhancements, and features to build and is accountable for the business success within an entire product portfolio. The product manager develops the product roadmap and is responsible for the entire value chain of a product throughout its life cycle.


In addition, the successful candidate will have experience with understanding, analyzing, and breaking down complex business processes and workflows. In addition, the candidate should have experience working with analytical solutions that leverage rich data sources in providing deep and valuable insights to their customers. Experience with grocery or general retail-centric business processes will also be leveraged in the development of requirements for new products. Candidates should also have experience with delivering software products for cloud or SaaS deployment databases.


Product Leadership

●  Responsible for the delivery of product versions on time and to specification.

●  Lead the vision, product backlog, roadmap, and prioritization of features in partnership with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.

●  Bring a solid understanding of how business, technology, and customers form a product-market fit.

●  Facilitate customer business process and user experience discovery.

●  Analyze gaps with current software product capabilities and assists customer, project, and software development teams with gap prioritization.

●  Initiate and facilitate discussions with business stakeholders through discovery sessions and user interviews to build an understanding of customer current state business processes.

●  Gain an advanced understanding of user interactions with existing and future product features.

●  Identify opportunities for improvement to current state processes in conjunction with product solutions.

●  Bring a customer-centric viewpoint to assist in the curation and prioritization of product feature backlogs in conjunction with the Project Management Team

●  Lead the product development team and is available to the subject matter expert on customer needs, functionality, and product domain.

●  Lead requirements gathering on the product features as needed while in consultation with the engineering, product management, software, and implementation teams.

●  Guide the product owners and creative designers to ensure that the UI/UX and the IA methodologies are followed, and they meet customer and market standards.

●  Oversee and improves the everyday processes such as Sprint Planning, 

Daily Stand-Ups, Feature Demonstrations, and Retrospectives

●  Being enthusiastic about their own product

●  Having a profound understanding of the products' markets, customers, and portfolio

●  Measuring the products' contribution on sales (top line) and profits (bottom-line)

●  Periodically checking assumptions such as business cases, customer reviews and market research 

●  Manage product development risks and remove barriers to success.

●  Foster teamwork while working within an agile product development environment. 

●  Good social interaction with the immediate team as well as other teams

●  Provide excellent communication skills across multiple mediums.

●  Utilize collaboration and product management tools such as Jira.


About You

●  Strong foundation in business analysis.

●  Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

●  Proven track record for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts 

& follow through.

●  Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, 

with exceptional verbal and written communication.


Experience & Qualifications

●  Minimum of 5 years of experience with software product lifecycle management within a cloud computing environment.

●  Education Level: B.A./B.Sc. in business and/or computer science degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience. 

●  Experience managing products involving analytics, data mining, or machine learning.

●  Experienced with creating or managing products for cloud computing environments or SaaS deployments.

●  Experience with managing solutions for the Grocery Retail or General Retail industry will be considered a strong asset.


Travel Requirements

Candidate may be required to be on-site at any of Invatron’s international clients in the event of complex implementation or issue resolution activities.  However, all travel has currently been suspended due to COVID 19.
